Alice Conway had resented the way her husband, Bob, treated her ever since their marriage, almost a year ago. Before they were married he had always been courteous, attentive, loving, and considerate, but now that she was his wife, his whole attitude had changed. He was careless, rough, demanding, and completely uninterested in her pleasure, especially in matters of sex. He just used her as a convenient receptacle for his male passions, and she didn't like it at all. She knew that she could respond to his love-making if he gave her a chance, but he just couldn't be bothered.
But now she had him where she wanted him. Not only had she caught him cheating on her with another woman, but the other woman was the wife of his Boss. There was no question of his guilt; she had barged into the motel suite with a detective and now there were photographs that clearly showed recognisable portraits of Bob naked in bed with Jane Farnham, equally naked.
